Meeting of the Deputy Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Czech Republic in Prague

Bilateral meeting between Mr. Yalchin Rafiyev, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, COP29 Lead Negotiator and Mr. Jan Marian, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic was held on September 12, 2024 in the MFA of the Czech Republic. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 31st OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum.

During the meeting, Deputy Foreign Ministers discussed the preparation process for the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change to be held in November of this year in Baku, Azerbaijani-Czech relations and other topics of mutual interest. 

Deputy Minister Mr. Y.Rafiyev attended the side event "COP29: Promoting solidarity and unity in addressing the challenges of climate change, through enhancing ambition and enabling action" held within the framework of the concluding meeting of the 31st OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum.
